Laws making wearing face masks on transport compulsory to be active on Monday

New laws that make face coverings compulsory on public transport will be introduced on Monday.

Taoiseach Micheál Martin says the new regulations will be signed tonight.

They became mandatory on public transport two weeks ago, but there has been no enforcement to date.

But Dermot O’Leary, from the National Bus and Rail Union, says it’s unclear who is going to enforce the laws.
