Kenny backs €1-billion spend on children’s hospital

The Taoiseach’s defended the price-tag for the new national children’s hospital in Dublin and says it will be ‘closely monitored’.

Initially costed at €450 million in 2014, it’s now likely to top €1 billion.

The Cabinet’s expected to finally sign off on the project at the Saint James’ hospital site in the coming weeks.
