The new app has been talked about throughout the lockdown, and it looks like we may see more information this week.

However, it's not without its critics.

Elizabeth Farries from the Irish Council of Civil Liberties has concerns over privacy.

However, Technology Correspondent Jess Kelly says it's up to the individual if they make their diagnosis known.

Ahead of the launch, the HSE says the app has costed 850 thousand euro so far.
