Head of European parliament suggest Brexit extension only to April 11th

The head of the European Parliament has asked for any Brexit extension to not go beyond April 11th.

That’s just two weeks after the current deadline.

Theresa May is trying to convince EU leaders to delay Brexit.

Most EU leaders are open to a Brexit extension – but it comes with conditions.

Many in Brussels now think it’s the withdrawal deal, or no deal.

And amid all this there’s no certainty on a date for an extension.

Mrs. May wants June 30th. The Commission has signalled it’ll be May 23rd. But the EU Parliament boss says it shouldn’t go beyond April 11th.
