Gardaí renew appeal for information on the murder of Donegal man six years ago

Gardaí say a number of people were involved in the murder of a man in Donegal six years ago.

24-year-old Andrew Allen was shot dead in Buncrana on the 9th of February 2012.

To mark his anniversary Gardaí have renewed their appeal for information.

Andrew Allen was killed in front of his partner at his home at the Links View Park in Buncrana this day six years ago.

He received a number of gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A silver Vauxhall Cavalier, thought to be involved in the murder, was found on fire nearby in Fahan a short time later.

A number of people have been arrested and questioned in connection with his death but nobody has ever been charged.

Gardai say a number of people were involved in the planning of the murder, the destruction of evidence and the protection of those involved.

Investigators believe there are still people in Buncrana and Derry City who have information that could help – and are appealing for them to come forward.
