Family of Clodagh Hawe welcome new state-funded study into familicide

Clodagh Hawe’s family say they welcome the news of a state-funded study into familicide and domestic homicide and hope it’ll lead to a societal change in Ireland.

It comes after Justice Minister, Charlie Flanagan met with her family earlier this year.

They’re seeking answers regarding her murder and the murders of her three young sons by their father Alan in their home in Cavan in 2016.

The year-long review will consult with State agencies, family members, media, and non-Government organisations, to examine ways of supporting families affected and reviewing such crimes here.
