Casey slams Cameron over stall in redundancy packages

tax-business-money-euro-calculator-accounts-from-PixabayA Longford councillor is harshly critical of the Cameron company over the delay in reaching agreement on redundancy packages for workers there.

The company announced in October that it is letting go 170 people over the next six months and it’s understood that the first of these job losses are set to happen in January.

There’s been no agreement yet between the company and the union in relation to redundancy payment for the workers and the date set for talks at the WRC is the 6th of January.

Local councillor Mark Casey says it’s bad enough that people are facing into being unemployed in the New Year, without having the uncertainty of their redundancy package to deal with as well.
