People across the Shannonside Northern Sound region are being urged not to be afraid to explore poetry.
The Poetry Towns initiative gets underway from the 10th to the 18th of September with Poet Lauretes announced for Ballieborough, Coothill, Carrick on Shannon and Strokestown.
They will pen a specially comissioned poem and present it to the town on Cutlure Night after a week long of activities throughout each town
