Over 500 electricity customers without supply in the Strokestown area this afternoon

Over 500 households and businesses are without electricity supply in the Strokestown area of Co Roscommon this afternoon.

The outage is understood to have begun just before two o' clock today.

ESB Power Check is reporting that power should be restored no later than  half past five this evening.

A smaller outage is also affecting the Leitrim Village area today where 26 customers lost supply today just before 1 o' clock.

Power is scheduled to be returned to those premises by 16.45 at the latest.
