The North Connacht and Ulster Citizens Information service is available in Leitrim. It is the statutory body which supports the provision of information, advice and advocacy on a broad range of public and social services.

Citizens Information Services (CISs) provide free, impartial and confidential information as well as advice and advocacy services to the public.
Each Citizens Information Service covers a geographical area within their region and facilitates both rural and urban areas. They deliver a service through a network of Citizen Information Centres.
The locations covered are as follows:
Co Monaghan: Monaghan town & Carrickmacross.
Co. Cavan: Cavan town (with outreaches in Bailieborough, Kingscourt, Virginia, Ballyconnell and Loughan House Prison).
Co. Donegal: Buncrana & Carndonagh & Dungloe & Donegal Town & Letterkenny & Milford.
Co. Leitrim: Carrick-On-Shannon & Manorhamilton.
Co. Sligo: Sligo town & Tubbercurry.
The Citizens Information Board supports the delivery of information through three channels: online, telephone and face-to-face.

The Citizens Information website meets customer demands for fast and easy access to comprehensive information on rights and entitlements. It covers social welfare, employment rights, buying a home, moving abroad, education and much more. The Information is available in both English and Irish.

You can contact CIPS by phone Monday to Friday on 0818 07 4000 from 9am to 8pm.
We operate a Live Advisor instant chat service for people with hearing and speech difficulties and for people who have difficulty communicating by telephone. The service is available from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
