Marie Raftery

Marie Raftery. St Ciaran’s Park, Roscommon Town and formerly of Cloverhill, Co Roscommon. June 30th, peacefully in the devoted care of the staff at Roscommon University Hospital. Beloved daughter of the late Martin and Tess and sister of the late Amanda, Pat, Peadar and Marty.

She will be very sadly missed by her sister Eilish, brother Oliver, sisters-in-law Catheryna and Betty, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Marie will repose at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon on Wednesday evening from 5 o’clock until 6 o’clock. The funeral Mass will take place in the Sacred Heart Church, Roscommon on Thursday morning at 11 o’clock with burial afterwards in Ardkeeran Cemetery, Cloverhill. In order to adhere to social distancing guidelines, both the Funeral Home and Church will be private to family and close friends. Prior to Mass the funeral cortege will travel to the Church via Main Street and following Mass it will travel to the Cemetery via St Ciaran’s Park and Castle Street. Marie’s Funeral Mass will be broadcast locally on the Roscommon Parish Radio on 105.9 FM and also on Ros FM 94.6 and www.rosfm.ie.     Soul has gone straight to Heaven. She will have some beautiful pictures to paint up there. May
