Mary Tiernan (née Campbell) passed away on Wednesday, 4th September 2024. Peacefully, at home, on the eve of her 99th birthday, with her family by her side.
Predeceased by her parents Dan and Catherine, and her husband George. Her infant son Christopher, her brothers Jimmy, John and Danny and her sister Kathleen all predecease her.
Sadly missed by her family, her sons Willliam, Danny, John, Brendan and Declan, daughters Christina, Bridget, and Margaret. Always remembered by her adored 27 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Deeply regretted by her sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sister-in-law Mary, nephews, nieces, extended family, great neighbours and many friends.
Mary’s family wish to express their gratitude to the palliative care team Edel and Ann and to the staff in Sligo University Hospital for their wonderful care of Mary.
May Mary’s Gentle Soul Rest In Eternal Peace.
Reposing in Mahon’s Funeral Home, Boyle (Eircode F52 ND23), on Friday from 5pm until 8pm. Removal on Saturday morning from her son and daughter-in-law, John and Eithne’s home, to St. Joseph’s Church, Boyle, for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon. Assylinn Cemetery is where burial will take place.
