James (Jim) Scanlon,

Thursday, March 17th, 2023. Peacefully; in the wonderful care of the staff at Oakwood Nursing Home, Roscommon.
Beloved father of the late Kevin, son of the late Kenny and Margaret and brother of the late Eithne.
James (Jim) Scanlon will be very sadly missed and remembered with love by his much loved wife Florence, daughters Patricia Mulvihill (Ballylongford, Kerry) and Anita Gillooly (Turloughmore, Galway), sons Declan (Swinford, Mayo), Francis (Enfield, Meath), Seamus (Enfield, Meath), and Padraig (Kilrooskey). Daughters-in-law Regina, Caroline, Emma and Martha, sons-in-law Peter and Donie. Grandchildren Colin, Jamie, Ella-Jane, Noah, Reuben, Shay, Millie, Evan, Kayla, Kai, Amber, Keeva, Aaron, Nathan and Isabelle. Relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon on Sunday evening from 4 o’clock until 6 o’clock. Removal from his home on Monday morning at 11.30am arriving to St Mary’s Church, Ballagh for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 o’clock. Burial afterwards in Kilgefin Cemetery. The Scanlon family very much appreciate the kindness and support shown to them at this time.
