Slaughtneil’s footballers claimed Ulster success against Down side Kilcoo at the end of November while a month before won the Ulster Hurling crown against Antrim side Loughiel.

Seventeen players are dovetailing between both codes and it’s expected that up to eight of the squad will start in both semi finals.

The GAA are expected to make a call on whether or not the football semi final will be deferred for a week alter on today .
