Shefflin enters management

Former Kilkenny hurler Henry Shefflin has taken his first step into management.

The ten-time All Ireland winner has taken over as senior hurling manager with his lifelong club Ballyhale Shamrocks.

Shefflin succeeds the management team of Colm Bonnar and Andy Moloney after their four-year term came to an end, having led Ballyhale to the All-Ireland club title in 2015, Shefflin’s last major honour as a player.

Shefflin will be joined in his management team by his brother Tommy, who guided Carrickshock to All-Ireland Intermediate success earlier this year.
