In Abbey Park in Boyle, Roscommon recorded an emphatic win over IT Sligo, winning by 6-21 to 0-15. Kevin McStay’s charges led by 2-16 to 0-03 at half-time with the goals coming from Ciaran Murtagh and debutant Andrew Glennon. Glennon went on to score a hat-trick and ended an impressive debut with 3-01 as well as assisting several other scores including that first Roscommon goal from Ciaran Murtagh. Diarmuid Murtagh and Shane Killoran also raised the green flag for Roscommon.
