The early season soccer action continued over the weekend in Roscommon over the weekend, in the premier division Ballinasloe Town enjoyed a narrow win over Skyvalley Rovers, while Moore united ran out convincing winners over Cloonfad United.
Boyle Celtic’s first game back in the Roscommon soccer league ended in a 2-1 defeat against Castlerea Celtic.
The other newcomers to the league for the 2017-2018 season, St Peter’s did enjoy a winning start, they were convincing 9-0 winners against Ballaghaderreen FC. Shiven Rovers and St John’s Athletic were also victorious in their respective matches.
There was also success in the Masters Shield final for Dunmore Town, they got the better of glen Celtic.
