Kevin McStay has been confirmed as Roscommon senior football manager for the 2018 and 2019 campaigns.
The Roscommon GAA county committee ratified McStay’s reappointment as manager of the senior inter-county football team for a two-year term, 2018 and 2019 with the option of a third year.
McStay with his selectors Liam McHale and Ger Dowd led the Roscommon team to the Connacht senior football championship title beating Galway by 2-15 to 12 points last July.
McStay’s side bowed out of the All-Ireland championship after a quarter-final replay defeat to Mayo. The eventual beaten All-Ireland finalists winning out by 22 points.
Roscommon GAA county chairman Seamus Sweeney complimented Kevin and his team on a good championship run in 2017 and wished them all the best for 2018.
McStay’s side will begin life in division two of the Allianz national football league in February.
