Glaveys ready for senior challenge

Glavey’s chairman is optimistic for clubs future after this season’s heroics.

The Michael Glavey’s chairman Gerry Coffey says the club now aim to contest a senior final in the county in the next couple of years.

The west Roscommon side ended their 11 games run in the championship with defeat to Moy from Tyrone in the All-Ireland intermediate final in Croke Park on Saturday.

Glavey’s managed by Ian Daly won the Roscommon and Connacht championships this season and Glavey’s chairman Gerry Coffey joined Kevin McDermott on Sportsbeat on Shannonside FM to discuss the campaign, the great support received and his hopes for the future of the club.
