Wolfe Tones and Longford Slashers ready for senior county hurling final

It is county final day in the Longford Senior hurling championship on Sunday with Longford Slashers and Wolfe Tones competing for the title at half past three in Glennon Brothers Pearse Park. Wolfe Tones have won the last four titles and their manager Mattie McLoughlin says they’ve a proud history in the competition over the last 25 years. Hes been speaking with Shannonside Northern Sounds Kevin McDermott.

With Wolfe Tones are aiming for five titles in a row in its Longford Slashers that stand in their way. Longford Slashers  Hurling chairperson Niall Ward has been speaking with Shannonside Northern Sounds Kevin McDermott and he says that its great to be back in the final again and he’s hoping they’ll  go one better after defeat to Wolfe Tones the last time they were there.
