Longford have made into Division 3 of the Lidl national ladies football league with a 2-10 to 1-08 victory over Wicklow in the Division 4 final which took place in Clane this afternoon. Michelle Farrell (she finished the game with 1-05) and Sarah Tierney (she finished with 1-03) got the goals.
Longford were leading 0-8 to 0-4 at the half time break. Sarah Tierney then got Longford’s first goal in the 39th minute. Longford put the game beyond doubt in the 57th minute when Michelle Farrell netted a goal. Heres John Duffys description of the goal live on Shannonside FM
