Longford made a winning return to Glennon Brothers Pearse Park with a seven point victory over Derry on Sunday.
Enda Lynn opened the scoring for Derry in the opening seconds, the only time that Longford were behind in the game.
Longford led by four points when Michael Lynn landed Derry a 32nd minute goal, before Longford’s Daniel Mimnagh edged his side two points clear at the break.
Michael Quinn landed a 40th minute goal for the Longford men as Darren Gallagher, James McGivney, Ronan McEntire and Barry Gilleran all chipped in with points as Longford made it two wins from two.
