Gary Cronin reflects on his time as a Longford Town coach

After 8 seasons in the coaching staff of Longford Town, head coach Gary Cronin has left the club recently. He was part of the backroom team of three Longford Town managers Tony Cousins, Alan Mathews, and Neale Fenn. In that time- he saw a Division one title- its subsequent promotion, a relegation and many cup runs and He says he had a very enjoyable time at the club. He spoke to Kevin McDermott on Shannonside Northern Sound to reflect on his time with Longford Town.

Daire  Doyle is the new Longford Town assistant to Neale Fenn. In his playing career, he has played in England for Kidderminster Harriers, Nuneaton Borough, Moor Green, Redditch United, Bromsgrove Rovers, 2 seasons at Longford Town where he has worn the captain’s armband, Bray Wanderers, Drogheda Utd, Shelbourne and Cabinteely. He played for a Town side that made an FAI Cup run all the way to the 2007 FAI Cup Final where they were defeated 1-0 to Cork City.
