Referee explains why Leitrim versus Sligo was postponed

A number of high profile games in the pre-season GAA tournaments were called off on Sunday.

In the FBD League Leitrim’s game with Sligo in Ballinamore and Mayo’s clash with Galway in Castlebar fell foul of the weather.

While in the Dr. McKenna Cup the meeting of Monaghan and Donegal in Clones was called of due to a frozen pitch.
