Westminster attacker named

UK Police have named the Westminster attacker as Khalid Masood who had a string of criminal convictions but none for terrorism offences.

The 52-year-old had a wife and three children and was a religious convert.

He was originally from Kent but had been living most recently in the West Midlands.

A vigil has been taking place in London for the victims of yesterday’s Westminster terror attack.

The family of PC Keith Palmer who was stabbed to death says he was proud to be a police officer, while Prime Minister Theresa May has called him “every inch a hero”.
