Serious overcrowding continues at Tullamore hospital

Overcrowding continues to be a serious problem at the Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore today with 44 people waiting to be admitted to a bed.

The hospital has the second highest amount of people on trolleys in the entire country today and had the third highest yesterday.

The highest number of people on trolleys today is at University Hospital Galway where 51 people are waiting for a bed.


There are 34 people on trolleys at University Hospital Sligo today, 13 in Mullingar, and 7 at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe.
