Just days after Christmas on the 28th of December a baby boy was reportedly involved in an ‘incident’ at a home in Bohola Co Mayo.
The infant was rushed by ambulance first to a nearby hospital, then Our Lady’s Children’s hospital in Dublin where he was pronounced dead.

A post-mortem has been carried out by the State Pathologist, but the results aren’t being released for operational reasons.
Gardaí are calling the death ‘sudden and unexplained’.
They released a statement earlier to say they’ve arrested a woman in her 20s.
She’s being questioned at the moment at Claremorris Garda station.
