One regional road in Roscommon is still blocked this evening, but all main roads are now passable.
The council will also try to reach percentage of some smaller roads that are badly affected, but Director of Services Majella Hunt says this will be very limited.
She told Shannonside FM News a short time ago that efforts have been continuing all day on the roads, and crews will continue work over the coming weekend.
Crews from Longford County Council will be working over this weekend to clear regional roads in the county and help clear up footpaths and estates in towns.

Iarnrod Eireann spokesman Barry Kenny says they hope to be able to operate services on the Dublin Sligo and Dublin Westport lines from tomorrow morning but people should expect delays.
Barry Kenny says the bad weather has had an impact on their fleet and some rolling stock will have to travel more slowly.
He also they don’t know how many trains will be available on the routes.
