Gardaí in Athlone are investigating a number of robberies from commercial and domestic properties over the weekend.
Two commercial businesses were targeted in Church Street and one man has been charged in connection with one of the alleged thefts.
Elsewhere in the town, a house in the Ballymahon Road and in the Retreat area were targeted by thieves and gardaí believe some of the incidents may be linked.

A break-in was also reported in student accommodation in Wellmount in the Dublin Road, but it’s not yet known what may have been taken.
Gardaí investigations are ongoing into the incidents.
