St Asicus charity to divide out surplus money to local groups

A number of local charities are set to benefit from a generous donation being made by the St Asicus charity which is in the process of being wound up.

The organisation, which previously provided various services in Keadue, is hoping that whatever cash surplus it still has can be divided out among a number of deserving organisations

An event is due to take place in Carrick on Shannon tonight when the charities will be presented with the money which in total is believed to be in excess of 50,000.
