Angling clubs and community groups in the Shannonside region are being advised of special workshops that are being held by Inland Fisheries about funding opportunities.
A total of €500,000 is being made available for the Salmon Conservation Fund, while there is also €1.5 million under the National Strategy for Angling Development Fund.
A series of information workshops are being held across the region for those interested in applying, including on the 14th of this month at the Athlone Springs Hotel.
