Gardai in castlerea are inviting the public to a special community event being held at Lough Key Forest Park today.
The Safer communities campaign is aimed at raising awareness of how homeowners can protect their property from theft and make it harder for criminals to target their valuables.
Crime prevention advice, as well as a road safety roadshow and national support services, are set to be available for people to interact with and chat to.

A number of specialist garda departments are also set to be present, including the dog, armed support, mounted water units and the day’s activities run from 11 am until 3 pm.
