Roscommon County Council is preparing a new strategy that will make it easier to evict tenants who are responsible for anti-social behaviour.
At the most recent meeting of the local authority’s Joint Policing Committee, the local authority gave an update on the 2017 strategy that’s being drafted to prevent and reduce antisocial behaviour in council houses.
If there’s such an incident, it would issue a warning letter and, if that persisted within a period of 12 months, the council could apply to evict the tenant.
