The Health Service Executive will spend more than €1.3 million on renting buildings in the Shannonside region this year.
New figures show ten premises in Roscommon are being leased for nearly €900,000.
Details released under the Freedom of Information Act show the HSE is renting 29 buildings in the Longford, Leitrim and Roscommon in 2018, at a total cost of just over €1.3 million.
The largest leases are those paid to Charlie O’Brien and others for Roscommon Primary Care Centre in the Golf Links Road, Roscommon town.
One lease of €328,000 is for the primary-care section of the building, while another agreement of €124,000 is for the mental-health part of the premises.
The Castlerea Primary Care Centre is being rented from Dr Michael Kelly-Henry for nearly €203,000 a year, while Monksland Primary Care Centre is being leased from Dr Tony Lowry for nearly €174,500.
The HSE is renting six buildings in Longford for €264,000, with by far the largest lease being the €184,500 paid to FK Primary Care Limited for the Primary Care Centre in Athlone Road, Longford town.
Thirteen buildings in Leitrim are being leased for a total of €166,000, the biggest of which is the €23,500 paid to Grant Thorton for the NoWDOC Centre in Inver Gael, Carrick-on-Shannon.
