Feighan slams OCI record-keeping in ticket scandal

Roscommon senator Frank Feighan has described the record-keeping of the OCI as outlined in the Moran report as unacceptable.

Frank Feighan and Longford-Westmeath TD Robert Troy are currently in session as part of an Oireachtas Committee on Sport examining Judge Carroll Moran’s report into the Rio tickets controversy from last year’s Olympic Games.

Former OCI President Pat Hickey declined to appear at today’s session, while Minister for Sport Shane Ross claimed the the Rio Olympics ticketing scandal has highlighted shameful standards of corporate governance under Pat Hickey’s presidency.

Senator Feighan told the committee that reports findings into basic recording keeping were hard to believe.
