Almost 100,000 euro of extra funding is to be pumped into medical resources for up to 80 Syrian refugees arriving in Ballaghaderreen
The additional funding of €97,000 is to be provided for the families who are set to arrive at the Emergency Reception and Orientation centre in the town later this week.
The money is to be used to provide health supports and interpretation facilities for the new residents of the former Abbeyfield hotel.

Senator Maura Hopkins claims the HSE has also appointed a senior officer to liaise with the management of the EROC and coordinate the health service response to the clinical needs of the refugees.”
The funding has also been welcomed by Fianna Fail TD Eugene Murphy.
