The Boyle Primary Care will not open this month as originally planned.
The multi-million euro facility, which will house health services for the wider north Roscommon area, such as dentistry and physiotherapy, was due to be handed over to the HSE next Monday, August 21st.
However, the opening has now been delayed for an additional 10 days to allow for final construction work to be completed on the building and its opening has been rescheduled until Friday September 1st.
It’s expected services will then operate from the building by the middle of next month once all staff positions are filled.
Senator Frank Feighan is hopeful there will be no further days to the opening of the facility
