Over 20 people gathered together at the King House tea rooms in Boyle on Christmas Day to have their Christmas dinner.
The event which brought together people of all ages and backgrounds was organised by local woman Dorothy Shannon who said she wanted anyone who might be alone on Christmas Day to have a place to go.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show this morning Dorothy says the day was a great success with a total of 22 people attending.
She paid tribute to the people of Boyle for the large numbers who offered to help out on the day, as well as to local businesses who helped supply the food.
Dorothy says a wide range of people who would have been alone for various reasons were able to come together and enjoy their day, and she hopes to be able to do it all again next year..
