Union representative defends ‘party-going’ students

A student representative has dismissed claims that landlords are being put off offering accommodation because of problems with partying and antisocial behaviour.

Síona Cahill, from the Union of Students in Ireland, says the majority of students are not interested in this kind of lifestyle.

She says her organisation had countless reports from landlords only too happy to rent to college-goers.
