Three men charged after stolen vans recovered in Longford

Three men have appeared in court charged with possession of stolen vans which were recovered in the Granard and Longford areas.

The vans were found by gardai at a number of locations including two premises at industrial estates in the towns on dates in March and April of last year.

More than a dozen vehicles were recovered in all, the majority of which were Ford Transit vans.

The men charged were 53 year-old Edward Stokes with an address at Ferriskill, Granard and Patrick Clyne from 22 The Hollows, Longford.

Also charged was 22 year-old Amadeusz Dziubinski 59, Kilnavara Heights, Cavan.

All three were bailed with conditions attached which include signing on at their local garda stations, being available on their mobile phones 24 hours a day and residing at the addresses given in court.

The men are due to appear in court again on 15th December next..
