Gardai have arrested three people and seized €125,000 of drugs following a co-ordinated series of raids in Edgeworthstown.
Two women in their 20s and 50s and a man in his 30s are being detained following the raids on several houses in the area today in a multi agency operation.
Members of the Roscommon/Longford Drugs division, Revenue’s Customs Service and officers from the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau took part in the operation.
Armed support units from the Western and Eastern regions were also on the scene.
Approximately €125,000 worth of controlled drugs were seized including a large amount of cannabis herb and cocaine.
Three people were arrested and taken to Longford garda station where they are currently being questioned in connection with the matter.
