Tesco Longford workers have rejected allegations of intimidation or harassment as they continue their protest against the company’s proposed changes to workers’ contracts
A strike by up to 20 Mandate workers at the Longford store has entered its second week, with 16 Tesco outlets across the country, including in Longford, now affected.
Shannonside FM was contacted by a number of members of the public in the last number of days to complain they they felt workers were preventing them from crossing the picket line to do their shopping in Tesco.

Speaking on Let’s Talk, John Keogh, who is one of the workers on strike, claimed that they are only stopping the public to explain why they are on the picket line.
