Between three and five thousand people are expected in Longford town tonight to attend the annual Dead of Night Halloween festival.
The event, now in its twelfth year was established in an effort to give young people locally a positive experience to attend and enjoy on the night of Halloween.
The annual parade of lanterns will see hundreds of school children walk from St Mel’s college up to the market square at 7 o’ clock this evening.
Frank Horne from Longford County Council says there will be plenty available to keep everybody amused.
