The Minister for Health has announced a significant upgrade of facilities at St Joseph’s Hospital in Longford will get underway next year.
Simon Harris made his first visit to the county this morning to take a tour of the facility, after several appeals from local councillors in the last year.
Speaking afterward, the Fine Gael TD confirmed a major expansion and refurbishment program of facilities at the hospital will be undertaken next year under a new capital programme.
