Longford health protest hears growing concern over hospital waiting lists

A crowd of about 20 people has been told that the waiting times for health services in Longford is getting longer and longer each month.

The still waiting health campaign organised a protest outside the gates of St Jospeh’s Hospital today, where a number of people adressed the crowd, including Mullingar man Dominic Connolly whose wife Catherine is suffering from a rare disease.

All speakers were critical of what they described as growing waiting lists and were critical of the government and the Taoiseach’s response to the issue.
