Longford County Council is proposing a major extension to the county town’s fire station.
The local authority is advertising the tender for a two-storey extension to the fire station which will include provision for a new fire appliance as well as offices at Templemichael in the town.
The construction work will involve demolition and site works, as well as electrical and mechanical engineering works and fire station building work.

The deadline for submission from interested parties is the fourth of October with construction likely to begin in early 2018.
