A new initiative by Lanesborough Tidy Towns and Ballyleague Tidy Towns to put flower boxes on the Lanesborough Bridge, was subject to vandalism last night.
The flowers on the bridge were destroyed between 9 and 10 pm.
Councillor Ger Farrell, has described it as deeply disheartening, and is asking anyone who may have witnessed anything to come forward.
