Jury sent out to consider verdict in Longford murder trial

The jury has begun its deliberations in the trial of a man accused of murdering another man near a shopping centre in Co Longford.

Rihards Lavickis of Annaly Court admits stabbing Akadiusz Czajkowski at Townspark in November 2016.

But the 25-year-old denies murder, saying he didn’t mean to kill him.


The court’s heard both the accused and the deceased were low-level drug dealers at the time of the alleged offence.
