The IDA has not invested in any projects in Leitrim or Longford in the last four years according to new figures released to the Minister for Enterprise.
According to information released to Frances Fitzgerald, Aerie Pharmaceuticals in Athlone is the only company the semi-state body has provided money to in the Shannonside region so far this year.
In total since 2013, the IDA has been involved in seven investment projects in this region – with three in Roscommon; Moss Vision in 2015, Jazz and Colour Communications in 2014.
All other investments in the Shannonside region were based in Athlone and included working with Teleflex, Alexion and PPD.
Up to the end middle of September of this year, 64 projects outside of the four key urban centres had benefited from investment from the IDA.
