Prices for three and four bed-roomed houses in the Shannonside region are still among the cheapest in the country.
New figures show that a three bed semi in Counties Longford and Roscommon costs €75,000 according to the Myhomedotie website. A similar house in Leitrim would set buyers back €95,000, up 11pc on last year.
The asking price for a four bed-semi detached house in Longford or Roscommon in the first quarter of this year was unchanged on 2017 figures and stood at €100,000.
While the same sort of property in Leitrim would cost €97,000.
Meanwhile the survey shows the number of homes selling for more than a million euro across the country is continuing to rise.
826 properties sold for above one million last year – up 25 percent on 2016.
